Associate Solicitor Jessica Coverdale joined the firm in 2014 as a legal assistant. She graduated from Deakin University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction) majoring in International Relations. She also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Leo Cussen Institute. Jessica was admitted to the legal profession in May 2017.
Since that time, Jessica appears daily in the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria, representing clients in a range of matters. She has also instructed Junior Counsel in a number of complex criminal matters, including Bail Applications, Committal Hearings, Trials and Appeals in the Magistrates’ Court, County Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.
Whilst at University, Jessica undertook a course of study at the University of North Carolina in US Criminal Procedure in 2015, as well as participating in the prestigious London School of Economics Summer School program in 2016, earning a High Distinction for completion of the Mediation and Negotiation unit.
